I'm struggling a little on Draft 3 right now, for no reason except that I want this draft to be perfect from the get-go, no tweaking required. Unfortunately, I don't write perfectly on the fly, and I'm having to, once again, do a fair bit of rewriting, to get Protagonist's voice right and get that oh-so-glorious urban fantasy feel.  I'm starting to mark up my manuscript again. The time off was a good thing, as, I think, was the short story and the punctuated (for pay!) manuscript. I'm able to look at things more subjectively than I was when I finished Draft Two. For instance, I have technological happenings on page one that no longer fit with the world. Um. Yeah.  So, I got an internet plan and a fancy-dancy modem thingy last week. I went to install said modem thingy, so I could get online, and discovered that the phone jack in my suite didn't have an assigned number.
